Maybe We Should Have Protested?
Not that I can talk, but I've been wondering recently where are the massive protests against Bush Administration policies and the War in Iraq?
What I'm getting at is, it seems to me there was some momentum going, with more and more people disapproving of the job Bush has done and more and more opposing the war. That, I think, would have been a good time to organize demonstrations. We might be past the tipping point on that, now though. Lethargy seems to be setting in again to some extent.
It's like everything's just kind of shuffling along to the midterms when the Democrats' passive inaction will magically produce a huge shift in the government.
Maybe I'm just cynical today. I just wonder if an opportunity for people to stand up and force a change in direction hasn't been missed here.
