Something to makes us WVans proud

Common Cause has a report out on potential problems with electronic voting machines that breaks the voter risk down by state. West Virginia is listed as a "low risk" state, which is wonderful for all us West Virginians. Still, whether you're West Virginian or not, check out the report and pass it along. None of us can really consider ourselves unaffected until everyone in the U.S. can have a reasonable expectation that their vote will be recorded and counted accurately.

P.S. "Reasonable" means that votes would only ever be miscounted under extremely rare and unusual circumstances. This would mean making the machines fraud-proof as well as making the voting process proof against mechanical failure.

I suspect we're a low risk state because WV isn't usually too crucial to election outcomes.
