You'd Think They'd Have Learned By Now Edition
Another person of prominence vis a vis the media has been caught falsifying his biography. This time it's Republican Chris Wakim, who is challenging Rep. Alan Mollohan (D-WV) for his congressional seat in my own home state of West Virginia.
Now, Mollohan has problems of his own, and he's far from my favorite Democrat, but, since it's imperative that the Republican Party be removed from power, I'm not sorry to see this. (By the way, Wakim still hasn't removed the claim that he's a "Gulf War Veteran" from his website bio, although he does seem to have reworded the claim to make it more weasely.)
What gets me, though, is how stupid these people think we are. It's a case of projection, obviously. I mean, if the fact that prominent people who lied on their resumes are getting caught right and left doesn't give you a clue, well, let's just say you probably didn't come by your "A" average honestly either.
In any case, I never thought Wakim had a chance, but this sort of thing is still reassuring.
