"A word after a word after a word is power”

Ranking Member on Intelligence? What irony.

Actually that should be ironies. I'm referring to Jay Rockefeller, pampered-plutocratic former self-declared champion of the little guy. We're talking about a member of the mega-wealthy class voting in favor of torturing poor people. We're talking about a privileged white guy voting in favor of torturing brown people. We're talking about a professed Christian voting in favor of acts Christ would weep to see. We're talking about one of the most secure men in history pissing his Armani pants over a fucking boogeyman. (And yes, fear of terrorism is irrational. The chance of any individual becoming a victim of a terrorist attack is miniscule. It sure as hell isn't worth panicking over. It sure as hell isn't worth giving up our very souls over.)

Jay, you've outstayed your usefullness in the Senate. It's time for you to retire to spend your days playing polo, or golf or whatever useless rich people do. 'Cause I got to tell you, if you can't even vote against torture, there's nothing worthwhile you can do for West Virginia.

Care to know how your senators or members of Congress voted? Check here and here.

Well, at least Byrd and Rahall did the right thing. Meatloaf would approve.

Don't forget Mollohan. He voted against it as well.
