If It's Back in Three Days, We All Better Get Right

Apparently someone has stolen the portrait of Jesus hanging at Bridgeport High School in West Virginia, the very same picture that the school board had just sworn would stay in the school until Judgement Day.

This, by the way, is defined as "breaking news," which I suppose technically it is, but still ... "massively unimportant news" is how I'd define it.

The story is welcome comic relief to the idiocy that this whole issue has featured so far. My favorite quote from the story:

The bandit took the portrait, but left behind the gilded frame and backing, said Harrison County Schools Superintendent Carl Friebel.

"The picture was the only thing stolen, so the deliberate intent was to steal the picture and only the picture,'' Friebel said.

Like what, if they'd taken the frame too it might have been just coincidence that the picture was stolen?
